Styal Lodge wedding photography
Styal Lodge is one of Cheshire’s newest wedding venues, but is has already established itself as being one of the most popular in the North West. It is an absolutely fantastic venue and one that I always enjoy photographing weddings at.
The Lodge itself is located by a golf course in gorgeous countryside, just a few minutes away from the beautiful little town of Styal. As it is far away from any roads or noise, it is an incredibly peaceful venue and one that always feels so relaxed. Bride and grooms getting married here will have complete exclusivity of the Lodge and it’s beautiful garden just to the side.
Before Styal Lodge was even built, it was designed with weddings in mind and you can tell that as soon as you visit. Everything is aimed at making the bride and groom’s day perfect and weddings here aways are.
The reasons I love weddings at Styal Lodge
I always enjoy going to Styal Lodge, it is one of my favourite wedding venues. I have photographed a number of weddings here over the past few years and each one has been so special and so much fun to be a part of.
There are many reasons why I always love working here. I think the first one is that it is such a relaxed venue, stress just doesn’t exist here! Styal Lodge is a family run business so the staff here do their absolute upmost to ensure that every part of a newlywed’s special day goes perfectly. A family run wedding venue also makes everything feel so much more personal too, couples are able to make their day unique to them and nothing seems to be too much trouble for Sarah or Georgie. As a result the atmosphere is always one of happiness and excitement, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day.
It is also such a photogenic wedding venue. The stunning manicured private garden to the side of the Lodge is perfect for photographs whilst the Lodge itself is so spacious and full of natural light. It really is a magnificent venue for a wedding photographer.
My favourite place for photographs however is by a lake in the middle of the golf course, which couples can travel to on a golf buggy! Seeing a bride and groom flying round a golf course on a golf buggy is always something memorable and one of the reasons Styal Lodge is pretty unique! Once at the lake, we can spend a few minutes taking beautiful portrait photographs whilst your wedding guests are enjoying the drinks reception, before hopping back on the buggy to join them. This is always nice for couples as it gives them a few minutes by themselves in a stunning setting.
The Bridal Room
One of the most important things for any bride on her wedding day is getting ready in a place where they feel relaxed and comfortable. The rooms where brides get ready at some venues can be a little disappointing, they can lack natural light or feel quite cluttered which isn’t great for photography. This is the exact opposite at Styal Lodge however as there it has a Bridal Room which was specifically designed for brides wishing to get ready with their bridesmaids on the morning of the wedding. This isn’t just a small space hidden away, but a beautiful purpose built room looking out on to the garden. The Bridal Room is spacious, extremely private with an en-suite, dressing table and comfortable sofas. It is located just by the entrance, so as you are getting ready you can hear your guests arriving and the excitement really starts to build! Then once you are ready you are just seconds away from where you will walk down the aisle.
