Brilliant couple? Check. Smiles, laughter and tears? Check. Amazing sunset? Oh yes! Helen and John’s wedding at The Three Horseshoes Inn and Country Hotel in the Peak District was a day that really did have it all 🙂
I started the day with Helen as she got ready at her parent’s house with with her mum and dad and bridesmaids. As soon as I arrived I could tell that the atmosphere was full of excitement and fun and I knew it was going to be a brilliant day. It was also lovely as one of Helen’s beautiful bridesmaids, Vicky, was also one of my brides from a couple of years ago so it was more like taking photographs of friends than people I didn’t know.
The whole day went perfectly, a testament to all the planning that Helen and John had put in to the day. Helen and John are very keen walkers and one of the reasons they chose to have their day at The Three Horseshoes Inn was because it is located right by ‘The Roaches’ a beautiful very popular with walkers. Helen and John had their pre-wedding shoot at the Roaches and I knew they were also really keen on going up there in the evening to have some photographs so I was keeping everything crossed that the weather was good later on in the day …and it was!! We got the most colourful and amazing sunset, despite all the snow we had had in the weeks leading up to the wedding, it was always meant to be 🙂
To Helen and John – thank you so much again for asking me to be your wedding photographer, and for all your kind words both on the day and after, they mean a lot to me. It has been lovely getting to know you both and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together x
