Beautiful summer wedding at The Villa at Wrea Green in Lancashire
I absolutely love photographing the weddings of bride and grooms who are genuinely excited their about photography and who also share my belief that wedding photography should be all about capturing real moments and real emotion, combined with some beautiful portraits.
That is one of the reasons why I couldn’t wait to capture Sylvia and Paul’s wedding at The Villa at Wrea Green in Lancashire. When I met them both just a few days before the wedding to talk through their plans, as well as it being so obvious that they were absolutely perfect for each other (they couldn’t be more perfect together!) they were also so excited about the photography side I could feel it. For me as a photographer, that is one of the best feelings I can have because it completely frees me up to be as creative as I can be, knowing that these will be photographs that will be loved in the future.
As if shooting the wedding of such an amazing bride and groom wasn’t enough, we were also blessed with a day with absolutely beautiful weather. The sun was shining for almost the entire wedding day! It really did turn out to be the wedding of their dreams and I couldn’t have been happier for Sylvia and Paul. It was nothing less than they deserved. On top of that, the Villa is one of the best wedding venues in Lancashire, so I couldn’t ask for much more!
This was only the second wedding I have photographed at The Villa at Wrea Green with the first being in 2013, but I hope it won’t be as long until I photograph another because it really is the perfect venue. The Villa is located in the Lancashire village of Wrea Green, which is a beautiful place. Despite the fact it is only a few minutes from the M55, it is set in the countryside, it is really quiet too and secluded too, which perfect for weddings.
The Villa itself is a large distinctive country house, full of character. As well as the original building, there are also newer areas to the venue now, which is where Sylvia got ready, and the wedding reception was held in the large Pavilion marquee, but every area of the venue is fantastic.
A big shout out to the legendary singer Paul Guard and DJ Gary Mills too, who both made the wedding breakfast and reception amazing and as always and it was great to work with them both.
The whole of Sylvia and Paul’s wedding day was amazing and literally couldn’t have been more perfect. Here are just a few of my favourite photographs from what was an amazing wedding at the Villa at Wrea Green:
