Creative The Place Hotel Wedding Photography

I love weddings where couples don’t hold back on their emotions and just have the best day ever. That is exactly what Geri and Gordon did at their wedding at The Place Hotel in Manchester. It was amazing to photograph and an honour to be a part of.

A few months earlier I had met up with Geri and Gordon for their engagement shoot in Walkden Gardens in Sale. We had a great time. They were such a fun couple to shoot and it was obvious then that their wedding day was going to be even more fun.

I started the day at The Place Hotel where Geri was getting ready. Geri was so relaxed and the morning was so laid back. There wasn’t a hint of nerves, just smiles, jokes and lots of laughing! We then made our way to Manchester Town Hall for the wedding ceremony. I travelled from the Place Hotel on a bus along with lots of wedding guests. This was brilliant and I could feel the excitement building as we made our way through Manchester city centre towards the Town Hall.

As you will see in the wedding photographs, the ceremony incredible. So much emotion! I just loved Geri and Gordon for not holding back and not being afraid to show just how much fun they were having. After some drinks and portrait photographs around the Town Hall I then got back on to the bus and went back to the Place Hotel. The Place Hotel in Manchester is a venue I know well from the workshops I run, but it was the first wedding I have photographed there.

My favourite part of the day was the wedding speeches. All three speeches were perfect. Emotional and hilarious in equal measure. The Place Hotel looked absolutely incredible too.

I loved everything about this wedding. From beginning to end it was a day of laughter and happiness. All I had to do was point my camera in the direction of the smiles!
