St Andrews Wedding Photography

Chloe & David’s wedding at St Salvator’s Chapel & Rufflets Hotel in St Andrews

I had been looking forward to Chloe and David’s St Andrews wedding for a long time. It is always exciting traveling to different areas of the country and although I had been to Scotland a few times before, this was the first time I had been to St Andrews.

It is such a beautiful place, very small but full of character and history. I was really excited to see the town, especially the Old Course, which is probably the most famous golf course in the world. I was really surprised (in a good way!) to see how accessible it was and the highlight of the wedding for me was being able to go on to the golf course with Chloe and David after their wedding ceremony and take shots of them both on The Swilcan Bridge on the 18th fairway of the Old Course – a place where probably every golfer in the world wants to have their photograph taken – amazing!

Chloe and David got married at the stunning St Salvator’s Chapel in the heart of St Andrews and had their reception at the equally perfect Rufflets Hotel a few minutes drive away. The sun didn’t stop shining all day and it was nothing more than Chloe and David deserved, you couldn’t meet a nicer couple and it was obvious that they had both put so much effort in to their wedding planning.

As well as the ceremony at St Salvator’s and going on to the Old Course, the speeches were another highlight of the day for me, they were so heartfelt and full of emotion, as well as being extremely funny too! Chloe and David had decided to split up the speeches with the wedding breakfast being served in the middle and this worked really well.

Shortly before the Best Men made their speech we nipped outside of the hotel for some portraits in front of one the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen – a fitting close to what was an incredibly emotional day.

To Chloe and David, thank you both so much again for asking me to travel up to St Andrews for your wedding. It was an incredible day and a pleasure to have been part of it. I wish you both all the very best for your future together x
