creative portrait of bride and groom

Last year I had the huge honour of photographing Cherry and Ben’s amazing Chinese wedding at Skinner’s Hall in London, a unique and timeless wedding venue. This was a wedding which I had been looking forward to for a long time for lots of reasons. It was obvious even though we had only met over Skype that Cherry and Ben would be a brilliant couple to work with, so genuinely nice and kind, Skinner’s Hall looked like an incredible wedding venue and this was a wedding which again saw me traveling to London and it seems that every wedding I photograph in London is amazing!

And, just as I had hoped, this was a wedding which turned out to be just as good as I had hoped, if not even better. This was mainly due to the fact that Cherry and Ben are one of the nicest couples you could ever meet and, for me as a wedding photographer, they both totally wear their heart on their sleeve and are not afraid of showing their emotion. I love that. My work is all about capturing real moments and genuine emotion in a documentary reportage style, so when you have a bride and groom who show so much, it makes the job even more incredible. Some of the photographs I took at this wedding ended up being my favourites of the year and it was all down to Cherry and Ben being so happy and showing their happiness to everyone – amazing.

Cherry and Ben got married at the beautiful St Bartholomew the Great church, a truly magnificent place which is actually London’s oldest parish church. The ceremony was packed full of emotion and so nice to photograph. After the ceremony so made our way back to Skinner’s Hall for drinks, confetti, a Chinese tea ceremony, speeches and lots of amazing dancing!

Skinner’s Hall itself is a historic wedding venue set in the heart of the city. It has an unrivalled collection of art and historic furniture and is full of character. It is the perfect backdrop for a wedding, so photogenic and elegant. I absolutely loved being a wedding photographer there.

Thank you so much again Cherry and Ben for asking me to be a part of your amazing wedding at Skinner’s Hall. It has been so nice getting to know you both and I am so pleased you are both so happy with your wedding photographs. It was a pleasure working with you and I wish you both a life time of happiness together.
