Peckforton Castle wedding photography
A few weeks ago I had the huge pleasure of capturing Helen and Scott’s beautiful wedding at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire – an absolutely amazing day in every single way!
Helen and Scott are absolutely perfect together, such a nice couple and Peckforton Castle is a venue which I hadn’t photographed before but had really wanted to, so I was really looking forward to this wedding! I started the day at the Castle where they were both getting ready, before heading over to St Boniface Church in Bunbury for the wedding ceremony. We then took some photographs in the church before driving back to Peckforton for the rest of the day.
One of the things that I loved about Helen and Scott is that although we didn’t have the best weather on the day, they simply didn’t care – nothing was going to stop them having an incredible day, and that is exactly what they had. I love that attitude, Helen had her wellies at the ready so that we could get some photographs outside later in the day in the rain and this ended up in me taking one of my favourite photographs of the year! 🙂
Peckforton Castle is an absolutely awe-inspiring wedding venue. Built in 1842, it has so much character and for a photographer offers absolutely no end of photographic opportunities both inside and out. I could very happily of photographed Helen and Scott all day long and never run out of ideas for new shots. The Great Hall in the castle, where Helen and Scott has their wedding breakfast and evening reception, is just wow and looked incredible. Such a beautiful venue.
To Helen and Scott – thank you both so much again for asking me to be your wedding photographer. It has been so nice getting to know you both and I am so pleased that you had such a special day. Thank you also for all of your lovely kind words about your photographs, that really means a lot to me. I wish you both a very long and happy marriage together x
Here are a few of my favourite photographs from your beautiful wedding:
I do love rain at a wedding (brollies are so romantic I think). That first dance shot is ace cakes! Gorgeous stuff. x
Wow Mr. Redfern, WOW! The light during the bridal prep is just stunning, the shot of the Bride with her back to us in the church is breath-taking and the rain shot…and…and, just love it all! xx
Crikey Neil, you don’t half do some epic wide shots! I love them all, but the first dance looks amazing, and the bridal portraits are just stunning.
Amazing work Neil, the rain shot is sensational! Love the light in the prep shots too.
So beautiful Neil!! love how Helen and Scott embraced the rain. gorgeous!
Fabulous stuff, LOVE the umbrella in the rain shot 🙂
