Beautiful summer wedding at Montestigliano in Tuscany
Wow, what an experience this was. Kelly and Stu’s destination wedding in Montestiglino in Tuscany was incredible.
Montestiglino is one of the most stunning wedding venues I have ever been to. In fact it’s one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited full stop.
Set high up on a hill in the heart of the rolling Tuscany countryside, Montestiglino is a privately owned farm estate and is simply breathtaking. It is like having your own private Tuscan village. So peaceful and relaxing. It is really hard to describe just how incredible it is. If I ever get the opportunity to go back, I would jump at the chance.
This was an extra special wedding for me to photograph because as not only are Kelly and Stu good friends of mine, but I had my friends Toni Darcy (my awesome wedding photographer friend who helped me on the day), Stu and Laura (from Laurel Weddings who made the incredible flowers – all from flowers found on the Montestiglino estate) and Gillan Edgar (an incredible signer who helped make the reception amazing) at the wedding too so the whole experience was so much fun. We ate pizza, had a BBQ, swam at midnight and drank lots. As well as visited the nearby town of Siena. Tuscany is such a beautiful part of the world.
The evening before Kelly and Stu’s wedding day, myself and Toni met up with them for some relaxed engagement photographs. You can see more of the photographs I took by clicking here. The weather on that night was perfect, unfortunately the weather on the wedding day itself wasn’t quite as nice. In fact it’s far to say the rain was absolutely torrential(!) but that didn’t stop everyone having an amazing day. Although we didn’t get chance to take too many photographs outside, Montestiglino is so pretty that it really didn’t matter.
Here are just a few of my favourite photographs from this amazing destination wedding in Tuscany.
