Eaves Hall wedding photography

Nikki and Ben’s wedding at Eaves Hall was an incredible day. An absolutely amazing couple getting married at one of my favourite Lancashire venues. Just perfect.

I knew from Nikki and Ben’s engagement shoot last year what a relaxed and fantastic couple they were so their wedding was always going to be brilliant. From arriving in the morning to leaving in the evening it was non-stop smiles and laughter. I was so pleased for them both that they had such a great wedding day.

Wedding photographs in the rain

It rained. It rained a lot. But Nikki and Ben didn’t care and it didn’t affect the day in any way at all. In fact they embraced the wet weather and I love the photographs we took as a result of them not caring about the rain.

The weather forecast before the wedding wasn’t great and when Nikki emailed me a few days before the wedding to say that she didn’t mind going outside if it did rain I got very excited and started to think of the possibilities.

As I knew Nikki and Ben were happy to go outside in the rain I ended up taking a spare set of clothes and lying down in a puddle to get the shot I wanted, but it was so worth it. If it rains, let it rain and make the most of it. Raindrops can make for really beautiful images. One of the biggest compliments I have received from brides in the past is when they say that they actually hope it will rain on their wedding day. I love that!

Taking wedding photographs in the rain is so exciting. In fact some of my favourite wedding photographs ever have been taken in bad weather.
