Creative Colshaw Hall wedding photographs

I had been looking forward to taking Cat and Joe’s Colshaw Hall wedding photographs for a long time. It had been a while since I had photographed a wedding at Colshaw Hall and I was really looking forward to going back.

Joe and Cat are such a brilliant couple. They are so incredibly kind and are constantly smiling and laughing with each other. When I met up with them a week or so before their wedding they had been telling me about how they wanted their day to be all about fun and laughter and that is it exactly what it was.

Both of them were so excited the whole day and it was so nice to see. Cat got ready in the little lodge at the entrance to the estate and as soon as I arrived there in the morning I could fee the excitement. I then headed to the ceremony hall to meet up with Joe and his Groomsmen and they were all exactly the same. This was definitely a wedding day that didn’t feel like work to me.

The rest of the day was absolutely brilliant. It did rain for a while (this is Cheshire after all) but that didn’t matter. The speeches were all absolutely hilarious and were so amazing to photograph. The dancing was also so good to capture, especially’s Joe and his groomsmen dancing to One Step Beyond! Epic!

Colshaw Hall is an incredible wedding venue. One of the things I like most is that the ceremony hall is completely separate to the main building. This means that the day has more variety as it feels like you are somewhere else. After the wedding ceremony we all walked over to the main building for the wedding reception.

The gardens are also beautiful and are perfect for portraits. I also love the lake by the entrance and I think the photograph I took there of Cat and Joe is one of my favourites of the year so far.
