Katy and Matt’s wedding at The Chester Grosvenor was such a fantastic day to photograph. A really intimate wedding which felt so personal and special, I loved being a part of it. It also happened to be on what must have been one of the hottest days of the year, we really couldn’t have asked for any more.
I started the day with Katy as she got ready in the Chester Grosvenor with her mum. Everything was so relaxed and happy and that was exactly how the rest of the day went too.
One of my favourite parts of the wedding day was photographing Katy and her father as they walked the short distance from the Grosvenor to St Peter’s Church in Chester city centre. So many people shouted out their congratulations to Katy as she walked through the shoppers and tourists and it made for such a brilliant atmosphere just before the ceremony started.
Following a beautiful wedding ceremony we took some portrait photographs around the city centre before making our way back to the Chester Grosvenor for the rest of the day.
The Chester Grosvenor is a stunning 5 star boutique hotel in Chester which opened in 1865. It is a hotel full of style, luxury and glamour. I love the fact that it is located right in the heart of Chester on the main pedestrianised street which runs through the city. A few seconds from the front of the hotel is the Eastgate Clock which after Big Ben, is the most photographed clock in the country. As you will see, we made sure we included the famous clock in a couple of the evening portraits we took!
Thank you so much Katy and Matt for asking me to be a part of your amazing day. It was such a pleasure to be a part of it and I am so pleased that everything was perfect for you. I wish you both a very long and happy marriage together.
