Favourite photographs from 2014
I have loved this year. Looking back through all the wedding photographs I have taken brings back so many good memories, to meet so many great people is one thing but then to be there during their happiest and most emotional day is another thing altogether and it has been such a privilege to be present at so many perfect moments. I really am extremely lucky to make my living doing something as special as this.
As well as weddings, I have also run 3 wedding photography workshops with my great friends Liam and Bee Crawley this year and also hosted a number of one-to-one days, I absolutely helping other photographers, it is so rewarding and something I would like to do more of next year. I have photographed lots of styled shoots too, meeting so many great wedding suppliers in the process and have been published in every edition of a popular wedding magazine this year. My work has also been featured on a number of wedding blogs and I was invited to join Junebug’s directory of the World’s Best Wedding Photographers, as well as the 20Collective – a group of the UK’s leading creative wedding photographers – both of which were huge honours.
On a more personal note, 2014 has been the year of traveling for me, I have been to Costa Rica, Norway, France, Italy, Holland, Ireland, Hungary and Spain this year, meeting fantastic people, seeing amazing sights and enjoying experiences such as ziplining over a mile long canyon, traveling on the Flamsbana railway line, sailing through the Norwegian fjords and abseiling down a waterfall.
Next year is already shaping up to be just as exciting again, I am very pleased to be already almost fully booked and have some incredible weddings to look forward to – I can’t wait!
So to all my bride and grooms and friends, thank you so so much for helping to make 2014 such an incredible year. It has been an absolute pleasure working with every one of you. Huge congratulations to you all again and I wish you all very long and happy lives together x
