Real moments and emotion packed wedding at Abbeywood Estate in Cheshire

As a documentary wedding photographer who is obsessed with capturing genuine emotion and real moments, photographing the wedding of a couple who wear their heart on their sleeves and are so clearly in love that you can literally feel it just by being near them – well that is the absolute dream come true. And that describes Vicky and Pete absolutely perfectly.

Their wedding day at Abbeywood Estate in Cheshire, just on the edge of Delamere Forest, was so full or love, laughter and heartfelt emotion that it made my job so easy and I honestly couldn’t have enjoyed their day more.

It is always a huge honour when I am booked by a couple to photograph their wedding day. I know choosing a wedding photographer is never an easy decision, so to be asked is a real privilege. However, when the bride and groom are both extremely successful in their own right in the wedding industry, as Vicky and Pete are, that honour goes through the roof. Vicky is an incredibly talented make-up artist (here is Vicky’s website) and I am sure takes the accolade of being the first bride I have ever have who not only did her own make up but also the make-up of her bridesmaids too, and Pete is not only such a nice guy, but is also an incredible wedding photographer (here is Pete’s website). Usually this would also ramp up the pressure (and that is putting it mildly(!) but due to the people that Vicky and Pete are, and the fact they couldn’t have been nicer, more welcoming, and more excited, it felt the exact opposite. Honestly, if I could photograph their wedding every week I would do so in a shot.

As if all that wasn’t enough, Abbeywood Estate in Cheshire is an absolutely stunning wedding venue – for creative portraits you are absolutely spoiled for choice! It is a 45 acre family home located on the edge of Delamere Forest. The gardens which surround the venue have to be some of the most photogenic I have ever seen, they are perfect for photographs. It really is a special wedding venue.
