What a day. I absolutely loved being a part of Preeya and Pankaj’s Indian wedding in Manchester.
I had met up with Preeya and Pankaj a couple of times before the wedding, including their engagement shoot in St Albans and they are so much fun to be around. A genuinely brilliant couple, laid back, fun and so easy to photograph. All I had to do was point my camera in their direction.
I know that they had put so much effort in to the organisation of their wedding day and I could not have been happier for them both that their day was everything they had hoped it would be. Everything was perfect, despite it raining during the day we were even treated to an incredible sunset in the evening. It was all just meant to be.
I love Indian weddings, they are just so colourful, vibrant, packed full of tradition and there is always so much going on! From the excitement of the groom arriving in the morning alongside his family and the sound of drums, to the emotion and traditions of the ceremony under the Mandap (such as the mangal phera where the bride and groom walk around a small fire), the atmosphere is just amazing. For someone like me who is obsessed with capturing moments and life, days like this are a dream.
The biggest thank you though goes to Preeya and Pankaj for asking me to be a part of their Indian wedding celebrations. It has been so nice getting to know you both and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.
Here are just a few of my favourite photographs from your wedding day:
Excellent photography Neil!
Neil, you have captured the essence of an Indian wedding with great photography. And from the photos you have captured, it shows this is not your first Indian wedding shoot
