Winter wedding celebration at Arley Hall

What a brilliant day this was. A huge wedding celebration at one of my favourite venues, bringing together two families from either side of the Atlantic.

Marium and Dan had actually got married a week earlier in America as that is where Marium’s family live, so this was a huge wedding celebration. It was a day that had everything except an actual ceremony. Marium wore a new dress which Dan had not seen before and they even did a ‘first look’ which was so nice to photograph.

I wasn’t able to meet Marium and Dan before the day, but that didn’t matter at all as they were both so relaxed and kind and perfect in front of the camera. I had spoken to Dan and found that we had a mutual love for Manchester United and Peaky Blinders so I knew we would get on well!

After the first look but before all the wedding guests started to arrive we took some romantic indoor portraits and group shots with close family. Arley Hall is such an amazing and beautiful venue that even though we didn’t go outside for any photographs, it really didn’t matter. The rooms inside Arley Hall are stunning and so photogenic. It’s a perfect venue for a winter wedding.

The whole day was so happy and relaxed and it was a pleasure to be a part of it. Once the speeches (which were all absolutely brilliant) had finished and the wedding cake cut, everyone made their way over to Arley Hall’s Olympia Suite for the evening reception. It had started raining a little at this point so I grabbed Marium and Dan for a a few seconds for a very quick portrait photograph in the rain. I would never wish it on my couples but rain can make an amazing photograph and I never like to miss an opportunity to use it!
