Arley Hall wedding photography
I have photographed a number of weddings at Arley Hall and each day has been amazing and a pleasure to be a part of. The whole feeling as you arrive and walk through the beautiful gardens towards to the main house is one of peacefulness and warmth. Not surprising as the house has been a home of Lord and Lady Ashbook’s family since the fifteenth century. I always love going there.
If you chosen Arley Hall for your wedding day, you have made an excellent choice.
The reasons I love weddings at Arley Hall
The first and most obvious reason is that it is such a stunning and photogenic venue. The main country house really is spectacular. Although it is such a grand and impressive building, it retains a real sense of warmth and friendliness.
Bride and grooms who get married here are not restricted to only one or two rooms either. The main hall consists of several stunning areas such as the Library (my personal favourite room!) and the drawing room. These rooms both have the wow factor and are perfect for drinks receptions and also settings for smaller group photographs.
As well as the main Elizabethan style house and the stunning gardens, Arley Hall offers even more to bride and grooms. Receptions are held in the newer Olympia building, which is just a couple of minutes walk from the main house. The Olympia building is absolutely perfect for parties and as it’s separate to where the rest of the wedding day takes place, it gives photographs much more variety. With some wedding venues, everything takes place in the same room, which is continually turned around throughout the day, this is the opposite of how things work with Arley Hall weddings and I really like that.
The fact that both the inside and outdoor space is equally fantastic means that from a photography point of view, it really doesn’t matter what the weather does as beautiful images are guaranteed regardless. It also means that Arley Hall is a great venue for both summer and winter weddings.
Another big reason why I enjoy working here so much is that the staff are so friendly and helpful. This makes a huge difference to me on the wedding day and makes everything so easy. It also means that newlyweds don’t need to worry about anything on their big day as they are in such good hands, knowing that everything is being run perfectly for them.
Recent weddings I have photographed at Arley Hall:
Beautiful gardens
The main hall is absolutely incredible, but the outside space at Arley is just as good. The gardens are so beautiful and are regarded as being amongst the very best in Britain, visitors come from far and wide to visit them. They are also the perfect backdrop for wedding photographs, especially in the summer when bride and grooms can grab a few minutes to themselves for portraits. The best thing though is that couples getting married at Arley Hall can actually get married outside in the gardens! I love outdoor wedding ceremonies and the gardens at Arley are a perfect setting, so peaceful and picturesque. Jo and James had an outdoor ceremony at Arley Hall and it was so nice to photograph.
