Eaves Hall wedding photography

Ever since I had photographed Laura and Paul’s engagement shoot at Delamere Forest I had been really looking forward to their wedding. They are such a great couple; so laid back, photogenic, lots of fun and just perfect together. The fact that they were getting married at one of my favourite wedding venues, Eaves Hall in Lancashire, just made their day even better and I absolutely loved capturing what was a really beautiful wedding.

To Laura and Paul, thank you so much again for asking me to be your Eaves Hall wedding photographer and for all your kind and lovely words about your photographs. I have really enjoyed getting to know you both and I know that you will have a very long and extremely happy marriage together 🙂 x

Here is Laura with their wedding story:

How did you both meet?

We both started working as teaching assistants at our old high school when we finished university. We’d both only applied on the closing date and were very lucky to both be taken on – must’ve been fate!

How did Paul propose?
Paul had planned a secret trip to Amsterdam on January 2nd 2013 as it was the first place we went on holiday to. He booked us into the penthouse suite of the same hotel we’d originally stayed in and found the restaurant we’d first gone to on Google Earth. After the meal we talk a walk along the canals which were lit with fairy lights and he proposed there. It was fantastic.

How did you find wedding planning? Do you have any tips for other brides?
Tiring but very rewarding – lists and spreadsheets definitely helped as well as having enough time to do everything.

Why did you choose Eaves Hall as your wedding venue?
It is such a stunning venue and as it was ours for the day it was all we wanted. The staff at Eaves hall were also incredible and straight away put us at ease that our wedding would be perfect.
