Wedding photographs from Styal Lodge in Cheshire

There are some weddings which I am lucky enough to photograph which I know I will always remember. Kirsty and Kyle’s wedding at Styal Lodge in Cheshire was without doubt one of those weddings.

I had been looking forward to this wedding for a long time, Kirsty and Kyle are good friends of mine (Kirsty is an incredible singer, I actually met her at a wedding a few years ago which we were both working at and Kyle is an uber talented wedding photographer, so no pressure then!) and knowing them both as I do, I just knew that their wedding was going to be incredible. I don’t think there was ever a moment that neither of them were smiling, laughing or crying and it made for an unbelievably brilliant day.

As well as the fun of photographing them both getting ready in the morning and the emotion of the ceremony (just have a look at the look on Kirsty’s face as she heard the choir singing, all secretly organised by Kyle) the other huge highlights were a Rod Stewart tribute act during the wedding breakfast (every guest was up dancing even before the speeches!) and Kirsty singing with her amazing band, The Midnight Cats, in the evening – Kirsty had the whole place rocking!

A special mention to my great friend Toni Darcy too who was second shooting for me. Not only is Toni extremely talented but also very funny and it was great to work with her – even if she did give me no sympathy when my arm was on fire! 😉

To Kirsty and Kyle – thank you both so much again for asking me to be your wedding photographer. It was a real honour to be part of your wedding day and I am so pleased that you both had such an incredible time. You are both amazing! x

This was such a beautiful moment – Kyle had secretly arranged for a choir to start singing All You Need is Love (they were hidden behind a curtain!) and Kirsty couldn’t hold back the tears 🙂
