Best wedding photographs 2015
My favourite wedding photographs of 2015
Wow, what year! When it comes to weddings, 2015 has been my best year yet. I have met so many fantastic couples and been lucky enough to see such happy emotion right in front of my eyes almost every week. Incredible.
As always I would like to say a HUGE thank you to all my bride and grooms who have invited me along to capture their incredible weddings for them this year. I am so lucky to have such brilliant couples who on the day never seem to mind helping me with my crazy ideas, and afterwards say the nicest things to me which make me feel so grateful I am doing this for a job. I can’t remember the number of times I have lay in puddles, asked couples to stand in the rain, not to mind if I set a smoke bomb off or run around them for crazy long exposures when they have no idea why I’m doing it. I am so grateful for the trust you all put in me – thank you. Were it not for your trust I wouldn’t have the images I do.
I have been joined on my weddings this year by some fantastic photographers which has made them even more fun – Toni Darcy, Kelly Clarke and Ian Wallace. A huge thank you to each of you, you were awesome and so great to have around. An extra special thank you to Toni who came along on seven of my weddings, put up with my bad jokes, never let me settle for just the ok and took countless amazing shots along the way – massive high 5 Darcy!
Behind the scenes, 2015 has been a rollercoaster and and as with all rollercoasters there has been ups and sadly, downs. Life can be cruel but it’s important to stay positive and there are always things to be grateful for. I am now really looking forward to welcoming in the New Year and finding out what 2016 has in store.
I have so many weddings next year which I am already looking forward to, all over the country and overseas, I know it’s going to be a year to remember 🙂 As well as weddings, after the huge success of the Redfern Crawley workshops which I ran with my great friends Liam and Bee, I am now planning to hold my own solo wedding photography workshops in March too, which I am so excited about. I set up a mailing list a month ago for these workshops a month ago and I have already had almost 80 photographers sign up, which is just incredible.
So, on to the photographs….. My original selection of images for this post had over 300 shots in it but even though I love them all even I thought that a few too many! I had wanted to cut it down to around 50 but found that was just impossible. I couldn’t even get close. So here they are, a selection of just over 100 of my favourite photographs from 2015.
Thank you again and to all my family, friends and couples, I hope you have a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year x
